Rebellion begins to spread across the kingdom. The struggle for power has reached a critical point. In the meantime, the prince prepares to fight a losing war tomorrow, knowing that his enemies could very well be his treacherous generals. These are his final words to his beloved:

It doesn’t matter what the outcome might be
Or whether the enemies’ arrows find my heart
A stream of tears is flowing right thru us
For Heaven understands that our days are dark

It doesn’t matter if you do not see me
Do not feel devastated, my love
My heart envelopes yours even right now
Like the wings of the dove

But it matters much if you let our dream fade away
And listen instead to what other people say
For only when you believe
Can our love be kept alive
And be thrice as sweet.
