So beautiful... I love the rich tones in this picture
However, I particularly love the way the ruins of the White House is in the distance on the side, instead of being close up in the middle. It really makes one think on how such important buildings and landmarks would become not just decayed, but utterly forgotten in an apocalyptic world.
Very beautiful work Desmond. I recently watched 2012 and this reminds me of it. I love the gold, almost metallic tones in the lighting, also the technique you used for the water, and the mist is a nice touch. Definintely
Thanks so much, Coral! I always believe this earth is fine-tuned for us and we've got to make the best of it and take care of it. Right now, its our only home among this and multiple other universes although they are unseen to us in time and space
I couldn't agree more Desmond. I get a lot of criticism for being an obsessive recycler but everyone should be wise enough to do what they can to preserve what we have because once it is gone, there is no way back
Is it possible that the cold weather is slowing things down? I really like to be there and enjoy plenty of snow, although I think it will be a bit of a shock to my body system Anyway its better to just enjoy what you are doing - I spent quite a lot of time planning and then doing 'post-work' detailing even after I've posted my work
I live in Los Angeles, so we don't get snow here...it really doesn't even get too terribly cold. If it gets to freezing temps ever it's during the middle of the night, that's a big deal and doesn't happen very often. But, I do think you might be on the right track...maybe lack of light from the winter since it gets dark so early. I will just do a little bit when I feel like it and eventually it will be complete.
I don't get to see LA yet. I've been to a mini Disney at HK, and soon they will be bringing Universal Studios to Singapore but it won't be as grand as over there, definately. Well, no weather is perfect all the time but its always good to have the light...sort of therapy to lift the mood
